Frequently Asked Questions

Need Help With Your Tickets?

Plans changed, running late, can’t find your tickets, or have a question before you arrive? Most ticket questions can be answered immediately below.

Planning Your Visit

When is Burial Chamber open?

Burial Chamber operates during the fall Halloween season. Exact dates, Box Office hours and nightly attraction availability can change, so check the Tickets & Hours page before visiting. Posted closing times are Box Office hours; the attractions continue operating until their lines end. On a slow night, operations may end at the posted time, so arrive at least 60 minutes before closing if you plan to experience multiple attractions.

Are all four attractions open every night?

Attraction availability is shown on the current Tickets & Hours page. When the schedule says Everything, we mean everything—all four attractions are operating.

What time should I arrive?

The Monster Parade begins at approximately 6:45 p.m. Guests who want to see it should arrive by then. Earlier arrival is generally best when you plan to experience multiple attractions. Posted closing time refers to the Box Office; the attractions continue operating until their lines end, although operations may end at the posted time on a slow night.

When is the best time to come to avoid long lines?

Lines are generally shortest at the beginning of the night. Fridays are usually less busy than Saturdays, and the first couple or last couple weekends tend to be lighter. Historically, the second and third weekends of October are often the busiest—not necessarily Halloween weekend. Attendance varies, so this is guidance rather than a guarantee.

What happens if it rains?

Burial Chamber operates rain or shine. When it is raining, free ponchos are provided.

Where is Burial Chamber located?

Burial Chamber is at 500 N. Lake Street, Neenah, Wisconsin, in the Appleton/Fox Cities area. Use the address above for current driving directions.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable walking shoes. No open-toed shoes or heels. Because the sets and actors may use theatrical blood and other effects, avoid wearing clothing you would be upset to stain or damage.

What is a Blackout Night?

On a Blackout Night, Adrenaline Haunted House’s normal scenic lighting is turned off and groups navigate using only an LED candle while characters roam throughout the attraction. Check the current operating schedule for Blackout Night dates.

What is the Monster Parade?

The Monster Parade takes place at approximately 6:45 p.m. in front of the building near the ticketing area.

Tickets & QuickPass

Do I need to purchase tickets online?

No. Most tickets can be purchased online or at the onsite Box Office, subject to availability and any package-specific requirements. Online purchasers can follow the online-ticket admission process instead of waiting in the normal ticket-purchase line.

Do I have to select a date and arrival time?

Yes. Your ticket is valid for the selected date. On non-peak nights, if you miss your selected arrival window, come as soon as you are able; you do not need to reschedule solely because you are outside that window. On peak nights, arrive during the time shown on your ticket so there is enough capacity for all guests.

What happens if my plans change?

Need to change your plans? You can reschedule your tickets to another operating night during the current season at no additional charge. Use the ticket-management link or QR code associated with your receipt.

How do I change the date of my ticket?

Use the ticket-management link or QR code associated with your ticket receipt to select another operating night during the current season. There is no additional charge to reschedule within the same season. After rescheduling, use the same receipt and QR code.

Can I come back another night if I don’t finish all my attractions?

Didn’t make it through everything? Any unused attractions can be used on another operating night during the same season at no additional charge. Reschedule your ticket before returning. All unused attractions must be used before the final operating night of that season.

I didn’t receive my ticket confirmation email. What should I do?

Visit the onsite Online Tickets/VIP ticket window and provide the purchaser’s name and identification so staff can locate the order. If there is time before your visit, you may also use the contact form at the bottom of this page and provide the purchaser’s name and a working email address so the receipt can be forwarded.

How do I use my online tickets when I arrive?

Proceed directly to the attractions you purchased and present the QR code on your phone or printed receipt for scanning. If you need help, visit the Online Tickets line at the Box Office.

Does everyone in my group need a separate QR code?

No. An online sale uses one QR code for the sale, and it can be scanned for the purchased attractions. If your group needs help adjusting how tickets are used or needs individual hard-copy tickets, visit the Online Tickets line at the Box Office.

What is QuickPass?

QuickPass lets you use the separate, substantially shorter QuickPass admission lines instead of the General Admission lines. It reduces waiting but does not promise immediate entry or no wait.

Should I buy QuickPass?

You can look at the General Admission lines when you arrive and decide whether QuickPass is worthwhile. It can be especially helpful for guests experiencing multiple attractions or anyone who places a high value on shorter waits.

Can I upgrade to QuickPass after I arrive?

Yes. Scan your ticket-sale QR code with your smartphone to upgrade, whether you purchased online or onsite. You may also visit the QuickPass ticket window for assistance.

What payment methods do you accept?

The onsite Box Office accepts cash, credit cards and debit cards. Checks are not accepted.

Are there processing fees on online tickets?

Online transactions include a non-refundable processing fee shown during the transaction and on the receipt. See the Ticket Policy for complete details.

Are tickets refundable?

All sales are final. No refunds. If your plans change, rescheduling is available separately as explained above.

What will the charge look like on my credit-card statement?

Online ticket sales may appear as Chamber Entertainment LLC or Burial Chamber.

What are the current ticket prices?

Pricing depends on the number of attractions and admission type. See the Tickets page and current ticket selector for current pricing.

What are your complete ticketing and refund policies?

See the Ticket Policy page for complete ticket terms, processing-fee information, privacy details and refund policies.

The Haunted Attractions

How many attractions does Burial Chamber have?

Burial Chamber features four major attractions at one location: Adrenaline Haunted House, Insanity Haunted House, Phobia Haunted Woods and the Trapped Buried Alive Experience. Visit the Attractions page for full descriptions, photos and videos.

What is Adrenaline Haunted House?

Adrenaline is a large, old-school, high-intensity haunted house filled with detailed environments, loud effects and simulated gunfire. The estimated walkthrough time is approximately 20 minutes, not including time in line.

What is Insanity Haunted House?

Insanity is an interactive, psychological fun-house-style attraction with disorienting environments and effects. The estimated walkthrough time is approximately 20 minutes, not including time in line.

What is Phobia Haunted Woods?

Phobia is an outdoor haunted trail that uses the natural wooded environment, sets and characters attacking from multiple directions. The estimated walkthrough time is approximately 20 minutes, not including time in line.

What is Trapped Buried Alive?

Trapped is an immersive group Buried Alive experience for up to 30 people—not a conventional haunted house. It uses approximately 80,000 sanitized plastic play-pit balls to create the experience. The estimated experience time is approximately 15–20 minutes, not including time in line.

Which attraction is the scariest?

Each attraction has a different feel and style of scare, so the answer depends on what scares you. That variety is the point: each experience is designed to feel different. See the Attractions page to choose what sounds best for your group.

How long does each attraction take?

Adrenaline, Insanity and Phobia are each estimated at approximately 20 minutes. Trapped is estimated at approximately 15–20 minutes. These are experience times only and do not include queue or waiting time.

Can I choose which attractions I go through?

Yes. Choose the number of attractions and make your selections through the current ticket selector. Available choices are shown during purchase.

Do I have to do all my attractions in one night?

No. If you do not complete everything, reschedule your ticket and return on another operating night during the same season to use the remaining attractions at no additional charge.

Safety, Rules & Accessibility

Is Burial Chamber scary? Can children under 12 attend?

Yes, it is scary. We do not recommend Burial Chamber as a starter haunted house unless children understand what they are entering. Children under 12 may attend with an adult. Expect loud noises, dark areas, characters approaching from multiple directions, strange sounds, tight spaces and other startling situations.

Will the actors grab or touch me?

Actors do not grab customers. Some passages are tight, so you may brush against an actor. There may also be occasional light contact, such as a touch on your back or leg, or you may discover that your group has an extra member.

Can I touch, hit, punch or kick the actors?

No. Hitting, kicking, grabbing or touching an actor is illegal and is not tolerated. If you do not believe you can control your reaction when startled, do not enter.

Do you use strobe lights, fog or loud effects?

Yes. Burial Chamber uses strobe lights, fog, loud noises and disorienting effects. Adrenaline also includes simulated gunfire.

Can I go through if I’m pregnant?

No. Please wait and visit after your pregnancy.

Can I carry a child through the attractions?

No. The attractions are dark and startling, with walls and obstacles to navigate. Carrying a child through them is not permitted.

Are the attractions wheelchair accessible? What if I use crutches, a cane, have a cast or limited mobility?

Unfortunately, the dark environments include areas and passages that require full mobility to navigate. Guests using wheelchairs, crutches or canes, guests with a cast, and anyone with back, neck, mobility or health conditions that prevent safe navigation should not enter the attractions.

Can I wear a costume?

Yes, provided you do not scare other customers or create confusion with Burial Chamber employees. Staff may ask you to remove or adjust part of a costume if needed to make it clear that you are a customer.

Can I wear open-toed shoes or heels?

No. Wear comfortable walking shoes that keep your feet secure while standing and navigating the attractions.

Food, Parking, Groups & Other Questions

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes. Groups of 20 or more may qualify for group pricing. Prices are typically $5 less than posted when one person pays for the entire group, but the discount can vary by date, package and admission type. Use the contact form at the bottom of this page for current group pricing and purchase instructions.

Do you sell food and drinks?

Yes. Food plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available onsite. Offerings can change, so the FAQ does not maintain a full menu.

Will I have to go through with people outside my group?

Possibly. To keep lines moving and preserve the overall experience, groups may be combined. Burial Chamber does not promise private groups.

How can I get a more private or smaller-group experience?

Come with a larger group of your own, or visit early or late in the season when attendance is generally lighter. Group sizes still depend on attendance and operations, so a private group cannot be guaranteed.

Why does Burial Chamber cost what it does?

Our haunted attractions are popular because they are a great time. Pricing helps us create a strong experience while balancing demand so the event does not become so crowded that it ruins the night for everyone. We try to find the sweet spot between affordability and a quality experience.

Does Burial Chamber stay open after the posted closing time?

Posted closing time refers to the Box Office. Attractions generally continue operating until their lines end. On a slow night, however, operations may end at the posted time, so arrive at least 60 minutes before closing if you plan to experience multiple attractions.
